What's been your favorite part of Beowulf so far? Summarize the scene briefly. Why is this your favorite scene?

Don't just give me a thoughtless 4-sentence response. Think about it. Talk about it. Write about it. Get into it.

This blog is due no later than Friday, October 19 at 8am.

I liked the whole fight scene from when Grendal storms in and starts his chaos and Beowulf gives his arm the death grip. I enjoyed the fast past, acttion packed style of this part, it got my attion and mad it enjoyable to read for a moment.

  2. My favorite part of Beowulf so far would be the fight between Beowulf and Grendel's mother. It's definitely also my favorite scene of Beowulf. This time the fight gets more intense as Grendel's mother not only bringing out a mass of sea-monsters, but also fighting with extreme resentment of losing her son. Before i started to read this part, i thought Beowulf is going to defeat her easily like what he did to Grendel. While the tougher flight makes the part more interesting to me. Since the sword Unferth lends him is not quite working on Grendel's mom, for a second Beowulf has no way to deal with the situation. But he soon finds the solution by using the weapon he found on the wall to defeat her. Throughout this whole fight, i can really see the heroic side of Beowulf, that he could calm himself at his ease and release his whole fierce with his power.

  3. My favorite scene within Beowulf is when Grendel attacks. Grendel was taking people for 11 winters and thought he was just coming in for the usual amount of men to eat. Beowulf put an end to his reign of terror. Beowulf proved to everyone he was the mightiest warrior which makes this my most favorite scene. Not only being the mightiest, Beowulf is also humble about how good he is at what he does. He never boasts and shows his actions over words.

  4. My favorite scene of Beowulf is when Grendel attacks. The reason this was my favorite part was because of the fighting. When Beowulf grabs Grendel and rips of his arm is just shows the power of Beowulf and how he really is the warrior he claims he is. All the fighting scenes in Beowulf are awesome because fighting makes a book great.
