on motivation
We're at the end of the first semester of your last year of high school (crazy!).
As you're pushing through the last couple weeks of the fall semester,
I want you to consider what motivates you.
What incentives can you give yourself to excel in the following weeks?
What attitude adjustments and paradigm shifts do you need?
What is going to propel you forward to success despite busyness, senioritis, and the overall need for a break?
Furthermore, how are you going to motivate others to create a better environment for your class (and teachers) as a whole?
This thoughtful blog is due no later than 8am, Wednesday November 28.

Fear of failure is a key component to what motivates me to strive forward and give everything my absolute best. I think of each task and assignment as something that will propel me forward in life and help me in the long run. One thing that really helps me strive for success is that maybe I can be an example for someone who is struggling, or that my drive for knowledge and success will inspire someone else to push themselves. Overall, as a class, we are a very bright group of individuals, and we're creative, intellectual, and competitors. We all try to challenge each other to see who's the best and who can succeed. If we harness all the drive and apply it to our work, we can reap the benefits of our labor. Complaining will ultimately get us nowhere, and if we realize that now, our projects and class assignments will be easier to complete and there will be more effort and creativity displayed. Miss Johnson, as a teacher, you're doing a phenomenal job. You've kept my intrest in English alive. You don't sit and lecture like most teachers. You enable us to branch out and use our imaginations and allow us to see our true potential.
ReplyDeleteWhat motivates me the most is sports. Honestly, if it weren't for sports I would miss a lot more school and give up a lot more than usual. Sports gives me an incentive to come because in order to play at game time, you must participate in practice. If all of us can find our motivation school and class will be much easier. Improving others motivation will be helping them figure out what truly motivates them the most.
ReplyDeleteWhat motivates me most is the fear to disappoint my family. My whole family has worked hard their entire lives. So for me disappointing them seems like a let down to the family. Another big motivator in my life is my lack of size. All my life I've been underestimated because I'm short. So proving people wrong is another thing that motivates me. So adjustments I need to make is staying focused in class and just push through till the end and then carry that into my college career then into my job. I will motivate others by my actions like turning in work not being late and just doing my best.
ReplyDeleteWhat motivates me most is my future wife and kids. Thay motivatrs me to work harder so i can provide for my future family and give them a great life. I want to give them the best life possible. I will motivate others by actions. I want them to see that i follow Christ in every thing i do and show how great life is if you do every thing for His glory.
ReplyDeleteWhat motivates me is disappointing my grandparents and also not being able to play basketball. If i failed my grandparents would be upset at me. If i cant play then id let down the team, and I just dont like to think negatively. So i try to stay positive in life with everything that happens, so that i stay motivated.
